Terryberry is pleased to congratulate our clients, Coastal Community Credit Union and Hatch, two of Aon Hewett’s 50 Best Employers in Canada.
Bruno Dragani, Senior VP of HR at Coastal Coastal Community Credit Union says one secret to their success was employee recognition with a “local flavour.”
“Coastal Community developed a series of recognition cards that feature a photo of a scenic area of Vancouver Island, taken by employees. People can give the cards to one another with a message written on the back.
“It becomes a real pride issue, having a recognition card,” said Dragani. (Canadian HR Reporter, Nov 19, 2012)
Construction and engineering firm Hatch agrees that a regional focus is important for employee engagement. “Not everybody has the same concerns,” said Hatch’s global director of Human Resources Pierre Olivier. “We have to focus the right effort, at the right place, at the right time. We’re a very empowered, flat organization. ” (Canadian HR Reporter, Nov 19, 2012). Hatch also credits their mentoring and ongoing learning initiatives for contributing to their employee engagement success.
At Terryberry, we’re thrilled to be a part of helping organizations like Coastal Community Credit Union and Hatch to develop and manage employee recognition programs that build employee engagement and drive results.
