This money could be spent on anything from gym memberships to yoga classes to budgeting apps. Even the most comprehensive wellness program won’t provide everything employees need, so this stipend extends the program’s reach.
- Promote the use of sick days as part of your wellness program. Remote workers tend to take fewer sick days because there’s not a concern about infecting colleagues. However, the expectation to work when you’re sick, even if it’s an unspoken expectation, can be detrimental to company culture and productivity. Encourage people to take the day off when they’re feeling sick so they can focus on recovering quickly.
