Purchasing Assistant
Hybrid Role | Grand Rapids, MI
Position Overview
Terryberry's Purchasing Assistant is a highly organized, detail-oriented team member who supports the day-to-day operations of the Purchasing Department. This is a tactical, execution-focused role ideal for someone who enjoys staying on top of emails, documentation, and system driven work in a fast-paced office environment.
The successful PA brings consistency and follow-through to the team, is comfortable managing multiple priorities, and values accuracy and reliability. This role is well-suited for someone looking to build long-term stability within a purchasing, supply chain, or operations fuction while continuing to develop their skills over time.
Responsibilities

Respond to and investigate internal & external supply chain inquiries in a timely manner

Interact with Sales, Accounting, Customer Service, and all depts throughout the organization

Create, manage, and send purchase orders using multiple systems

Communicate with manufacturing on receipts/damages/inventory adjustments, and enter claims

Process product returns by engaging vendors for RMA's

Run reports and manage open purchase orders for accuracy

Communicate and process order changes & approvals

Work with Buyers on Domestic & International supply chain issues

Process vendor invoices & credits to the appropriate groups

Data entry for processing and maintaining records
Skills & Experience

1-2+ years of experience in a purchasing, supply chain, logistics, or office-based administrative role (experience may include office administration in a supply chain, freight, manufacturing, or similar environment)

Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-paced office setting with frequent email communication, paperwork, and system-based tasks

Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, track details, and meet deadlines

High attention to detail and accuracy when handling data entry, documentation, and transactional work

Ability to work across multiple systems and learn new tools quickly

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook

Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills

Accounting Operations Lead
Hybrid Role | Grand Rapids, MI
Position Overview
The Accounting Operations Lead manages core accounting operations and ensures accurate, timely financial reporting. This role owns the month end close, strengthens internal controls, and supports leadership with reliable financial information. You will manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory transactions while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and proper controls. You will partner closely with finance leadership and cross functional teams to scale processes and support growth.
Responsibilities
Operational Accounting
- Lead the monthly and annual close process
- Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Ensure accurate recording of revenue, expenses, inventory, and balance sheet activity
- Investigate variances and resolve discrepancies
Financial Reporting
- Produce internal financial statements and management reports
- Support leadership with variance analysis and financial insights
- Assist with external audits and required financial schedules
Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and Inventory
- Oversee accounts receivable processes including billing, cash application, collections support, and aging review
- Manage accounts payable activities including invoice processing, payment runs, vendor reconciliations, and controls
- Reconcile inventory subledgers to the general ledger and investigate variances
- Maintain segregation of duties and approval workflows across AR, AP, and inventory processes
Compliance and Controls
- Maintain strong internal controls and documented procedures
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies
- Support tax filings and regulatory reporting
Team Leadership and Collaboration
- Manage and mentor accounting staff
- Review work for accuracy and completeness
- Partner with operations, sales, and HR on accounting matters
Process Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Support automation and system enhancements
- Standardize close and reporting procedures

Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA or CMA preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP
- Experience improving processes and internal controls
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail

Sales Development Representative

Position Overview
Terryberry is looking for a high-energy, driven individual with sound business acumen, strong technical aptitude, and natural sales instincts to join our team as a Sales Development Representative. You will learn our business interacting with clients of all levels in a variety of industries and across a broad geographical area. From facilitating the early engagement process with leads, to conducting calls and qualifying for further advancement through the sales pipeline, the ideal candidate will have an entrepreneurial spirit and thrive in a high energy sales environment.
Responsibilities
Develop leads into prospects from a variety of lead sources by:
- Partnering with Marketing and Sales on lead quality and conversion
- Researching prospects using a variety of tools and sources to gain an understanding of business needs
- Making phone calls, sending emails, video and connecting through social media channels to qualify leads and book meetings for Account Managers
- Creating a great first impression for our prospects by providing them with a world class experience
- Maintaining active engagement with new and existing leads through follow-up communication
- Maintaining detailed records in Salesforce.com on each customer interaction and next action
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Skills & Experience
- Ability to influence others and build rapport quickly – especially over the phone
- Strong desire and ability to learn and effectively use software for automated sales opportunity development
- Experience with Salesforce.com or other sales tools will be helpful
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including PowerPoint
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time effectively
