Key Responsibilities:

Pipeline Creation & Prospecting

Discovery & Sales Execution

  • Lead strong discovery to uncover the business problem, stakeholders, decision process, value drivers,
timeline, current provider, and budget path.
  • Qualify opportunities on fit, buyer access, urgency, and potential value; connect capabilities to specific
    customer outcomes.

Opportunity Management & Closing

  • Own the sales process from first meeting through close, partnering with Symbolic Product leadership and
Award Lab on complex or custom program design.
  • Manage deal strategy, competition, and stakeholder alignment while negotiating to protect value and

    performance recognition.
  • Proven ability to build pipeline through self-sourced outbound prospecting and existing relationships, with a
track record of exceeding quota and displacing incumbents.
  • Deep familiarity with President's Club, sales achievement, safety, and other performance-based and symbolic
    recognition programs.
  • Strong discovery skills and experience managing a consultative, multi-stakeholder sales process; ability to sell
business outcomes, not just features and product.
  • Proficient with Salesforce or a comparable CRM, LinkedIn, sales engagement tools and virtual meeting tools.
  • Self-motivated, with an established book of relationships and a demonstrated history of opening doors and
    displacing incumbents.
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment with high accountability; willing to travel based upon
    opportunities.
  • Commercially strong enough to own a deal, yet collaborative enough to bring in the right resources at the
    right time.
  • Competitive and energized by building a market on their own — a proven door-opener who can thrive
    without inbound led generation

Strategic Account Executive

Remote Role

Role Purpose

The Strategic Account Executive creates and closes new recurring revenue by prospecting into high-potential accounts, converting qualified meetings into opportunities, leading consultative discovery, and guiding buyers through a disciplined sales process — building pipeline and closing SaaS-led employee recognition and engagement business.

Terryberry is a recognition, engagement, and rewards company helping organizations build stronger employee experiences. As Terryberry grows its SaaS-led model, the Strategic Account Executive drives new business and helps HR and business leaders solve recognition, engagement, and culture challenges. This is not an order-taking role: the AE operates as a disciplined pipeline creator, strategic account planner, and trusted advisor — creating demand, building business cases, and engaging internal resources (SDRs, Solutions Consultants, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and specialists) as needed

Key Responsibilities

Pipeline Creation & Prospecting

  • Build and execute outbound prospecting plans for assigned territories, segments, and target accounts,
tailoring messaging to buyer personas and business triggers.
  • Partner with SDRs to coordinate outreach and improve meeting quality; use Salesforce, Gong, LinkedIn, and
    approved sales engagement tools.

Discovery & Sales Execution

    timeline, and budget path.
  • Qualify opportunities on fit, buyer access, urgency, and potential value; build business cases and mutual
    action plans.

Opportunity Management & Closing

  • Own the sales process from first meeting through close — demos, proposals, pricing, procurement, and legal
    review.
  • Manage deal strategy, competition, and stakeholder alignment while negotiating to protect value and
    margin.

Account & Territory Strategy

  • Maintain a prioritized account/territory plan focused on best-fit, highest-potential opportunities.
  • Use account and market intelligence to inform outreach, discovery, and deal strategy.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & CRM Discipline

  • Partner with Solutions Consultants, Customer Success, Finance, Legal, and Marketing on complex
opportunities; share market and win/loss feedback.
  • Keep Salesforce accurate and current; maintain reliable forecasting and visible pipeline activity.

What We're Looking For

  • 3–5+ years of B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS, HR technology, or related business services.
  • Proven ability to self-source pipeline through prospecting, research, and referrals, with a track record of
    meeting or exceeding quota.
  • Strong discovery skills and experience managing a consultative, multi-stakeholder sales process.
  • Ability to sell business outcomes, not just features, with strong written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient with Salesforce or a comparable CRM, sales engagement tools, and virtual meeting platforms.
  • Self-motivated and disciplined, with strong organizational rigor across a remote/hybrid environment and
    multiple active opportunities.
  • Curious and coachable — comfortable asking direct questions about pain, budget, and process.
  • Commercially strong enough to own a deal, yet collaborative enough to bring in the right resources at the
    right time.
  • Competitive, energized by building a market rather than only responding to inbound interest, and focused on
controllable activities that create and close business.
